I am going to bankok and we have a stop over in doha do i need a visa to get out the air port?

we have a stop over in doha of 14hours and wanted to know if we would need a visa to get out the airport to have a look about and maybe get a hotel for the night and then have a bit of a wonder about befor we have to fly back home
